Two of the men arrested in connection with car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow had links to a hospital in Cambridge, it was reported today.

Some of the suspects arrested in connection with the terror plots in London and Glasgow were known to MI5 before the attacks took place, it has emerged.

Medical colleagues of a Jordanian doctor arrested in Britain in connection with a string of thwarted car bomb attacks today said the man was absorbed in his studies and career and had no ties to terrorism.
