A senior Iranian official has threatened to allow the transit of illegal drugs through its territory to Europe should the West continue criticising the Islamic nation’s human rights record.

The UN General Assembly’s human rights committee expressed “deep concern” today about Iran’s use of flogging, stoning and amputations as punishment in an annual review of the rights situation in several countries worldwide.
