A British couple kidnapped by Somali pirates have been temporarily reunited, a doctor said today.

International military chiefs signalled a new, more aggressive strategy against piracy, as swarms of Somalis moved into the waters off East Africa.

A retired British couple snatched from their yacht by pirates more than four months ago will be released soon, a senior Somali official said today.
