The Irish Family Planning Association says some women continue with a pregnancy against their wishes, because of the challenges in trying to travel out of the state for an abortion.

The baby boy who was born to Miss Y by Caesarean Section at 26 weeks of pregnancy has had his care order extended.

The HSE has issued a statement in response to claims 'Ms Y' was forcibly fed while waiting for an abortion to be approved.

The HSE says the report into the Miss Y case remains ongoing and has not been completed.
