Animal rights activists upped their campaign against fur farming today, demanding Minister for Agriculture Mary Coughlan introduce a ban.

The Government tonight insisted there was no direct threat to Ireland following the discovery of an elaborate terrorist plot to blow up aircraft over the Atlantic.
