AUSTRALIA captain Ricky Ponting has called for calm after India supporters demonstrated in the streets in response to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) decision to ban spin bowler Harbhajan Singh for three Tests.

International Cricket Council (ICC) referee Mike Procter has stood by his decision to ban Harbhajan Singh after the India spinner was found guilty of racially abusing Australia’s Andrew Symonds.

The International Cricket Council reported on Monday morning they have yet to receive an official appeal against India spinner Harbhajan Singh’s three-Test ban.

PAKISTAN will continue with their tour of England despite the ball-tampering row but may review that decision following captain Inzamam-ul-Haq’s disciplinary hearing with the International Cricket Council (ICC).
