WITH the bang of a drum and a high-pitched wail, the first funerals began for victims of a teenager’s shooting rampage on the Red Lake Indian Reservation where 10 people died.

THE teenager who shot five schoolmates to death had watched a movie about a school shooting with friends earlier this month — skipping ahead to some of the most violent scenes, a friend said yesterday.

TEENAGE gunman Jeff Weise drove a stolen police car to his school and then randomly shot at students and teachers, authorities said as the town of Red Lake grieved for the victims of the latest rampage to stun the US.

HE created comic books with ghastly drawings of people shooting each other and wrote stories about zombies.

Authorities were today trying to determine what caused a teenager to gun down his grandfather, put on the man’s police-issue belt and bullet-proof vest, and drive his marked squad car to a high school, where he began shooting his classmates at will.
