JERSEY police have said they have ruled out suggestions that murders were committed at a former children’s care home at the centre of a massive abuse inquiry.

The new police chief in charge of the Jersey child abuse probe ruled out murder today as he expressed “much regret” at inaccurate information provided by his predecessors.

The former head of the Jersey child abuse investigation today said the ability to secure justice for the victims had been “sacrificed”.
