The wet weather at Aintree shows no sign of relenting ahead of this afternoon's British Grand National.

Punters are expected to indulge in a betting frenzy this weekend with £100 million riding on the outcome of the Grand National and other sporting events.

Last year's winner Papillon is quoted as low as 10-1 for this year's running of the Martell Grand National after the weights were announced.
