Militiamen attacked an army camp in eastern Congo, killing four soldiers and kidnapping 10 in the latest violence to hit the lawless region, a United Nations spokeswoman said today.

Renegade army soldiers in eastern Congo recently massacred at least 30 civilians, including women and children, to avenge the death of three of their troops, the UN mission in Congo said.
