A 53-year-old woman whose life revolved around her post office job at Limerick GPO was jailed yesterday for 18 months for stealing from customer accounts after she did not get a promotion.

A “trusted” An Post worker pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing over €100,000 in funds from account holders, before putting the money back into their accounts.
