The manager of a Killarney hotel where three guests celebrating a confirmation were involved in violent disorder has criticised the suspended sentences handed down to all three at the Circuit Court earlier this week.

A "chaotic scene" greeted gardaí who were called to a Killarney hotel in which guests "ostensibly celebrating" a Confirmation, the Circuit Criminal Court in Tralee heard yesterday.

Alison Murdoch has once again travelled from Canada to defend her Irish title at the ILGU Seniors Open Strokeplay Championship, Woodbrook Golf Club, September 11-12.
