The partner of a Limerick man who was shot dead along with another woman in his home has told a trial one of the accused arrived at her house the day of the killings to offer his condolences but that he “seemed agitated”.

A sister of Limerick murder victim Breda Waters has admitted at the Central Criminal Court she was having an affair with one of the accused but it ended a month prior to the shooting dead of Ms Waters and Desmond Kelly.

A MAN who threatened to kill and to cut out the eye of a sales assistant at a jewellery shop, if she continued to look at a panic button, was jailed for nine years yesterday.
