Tipperary GAA chiefs have been urged to nail down Liam Kearns as the county’s senior football team manager for 2017 — amid loose speculation that his native Kerry could make an approach for his services.

Many a campaign was plotted in the front room of John and Maureen McNamara’s house on Shamrock Hill in Clonmel, many a victory celebrated, many a defeat mourned, many a cup of tea shared over the years on good footballing days and bad.
