US president George Bush has released his Vietnam-era military records, in a bid to calm a political storm and to counter Democrats’ suggestions that he shirked his duty in the Texas Air National Guard.

US PRESIDENT George W Bush’s spokesman Ari Fleischer yesterday announced he is resigning this summer to pursue more relaxing endeavours “after 21 years of doing nothing but government and politics”.
