Classic 1950s style stole the day at Leopardstown yesterday where a Cork woman dressed in Donegal tweed won the Ladies’ Day award.

Eighty years of racing in one of the most scenic courses in Europe saw attendances up on recent years and for the most part, the sun shone over the four-day festival that is the July meeting of Killarney Races.

The sun came out just in time to show up a dazzling array of colours and style on Ladies’ Day at rainy Killarney Races.
