Spanish police have arrested an Algerian man suspected of being the financial chief in Spain of Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaida terrorist network, the Spanish Interior Ministry said today.

Four members of Osama bin Laden’s al Qaida organisation were being sentenced today just a few hundred yards from the World Trade Centre for their part in terrorist attacks in 1998.
