High School, Clonmel, despite playing with 14 men for the majority of the second-half, held off St Flannan’s at Lattin yesterday to reach the Munster Colleges Frewen Cup (U16½ AFC) final.

DESPITE playing the entire game with 14 men, Coláiste na nDéise still managed to keep their noses ahead of hurling bluebloods St Flannan’s and claim the spoils in this Harty Cup quarter-final in Tipperary town.

HE began the game on the bench but by the full-time whistle, Joseph Barry had made a defining contribution in tipping yesterday’s Dr Harty Cup Group C encounter in Charleville, in the direction of St Flannan’s.

SUPERIOR firepower was the key to victory for St Flannan’s College as they claimed the Dean Ryan Cup at Cashel yesterday.
