Two former champions, Monaghan and Mayo, advanced to the semi-finals of the TG4 Ladies All-Ireland senior football championship with varying degrees of difficulty in last Saturday’s quarter-finals at Croke Park.

Kildare have been crowned TG4 All-Ireland Junior Ladies football champions at Croke Park, having staved off a late second-half rally - including two goals from 14-year-old Therese Marren - to win 2-13 to 3-5 against Sligo.
