A HEALTH board says it has been forced to call in the Defence Forces several times in the past 10 weeks because of industrial action by ambulance staff.

MEMBERS of the Defence Forces medical corps have been drafted in to take over from ambulance crews who have refused to provide night cover in parts of the South-East.
