MURDER accused Joe O’Reilly admitted to gardaí that he had possession of the mobile phone that placed him close to the scene where his wife Rachel was battered to death.

Murder accused Joe O'Reilly told gardaí that he had his phone with him all day on the day his wife Rachel died, the jury in the Central Criminal Court trial heard today.

A 28-year-old truck driver found in possession of almost €16m worth of cocaine and cannabis resin has been remanded in custody for sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
