The young Kerry woman who had been staging an underground protest at Rath Lugh in the Tara/Skyrne valley left the tunnel last night.

PROTESTERS opposed to the M3 Meath motorway route yesterday pledged to escalate their campaign.

CONCERN is growing for the safety of a 26-year-old woman who has locked herself in an underground tunnel and is threatening to collapse it if attempts are made to rescue her.

IN HER own little world, Lisa Feeney or “Squeak” as she is called by her boyfriend and friends, has a bottle of whiskey, a few good books, vitamin tablets and a month’s supply of food and water to keep her alive in her underground tunnel.
