The father of a boy with autism who was attacked by a group of teenagers has said his family has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from the public.

A Cork charity has given an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland to a teenage boy with autism who was the victim of a horrific assault.

Children from around the country have sent cards and gifts to the teenager with autism who was attacked by a gang of youths in Carrigaline, Co Cork, who then posted footage of the ordeal on social media.

The father of a boy with autism has said his “heart is breaking” after an attack on the 14-year-old by a group of teenagers who then allegedly posted footage of the ordeal online .
