Three men appeared before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court over the weekend charged in connection with the fatal shooting of dissident republican Peter Butterly in Co Meath.

A 30-year-old Dublin man today appeared before the Special Criminal Court charged with IRA membership and possession of a firearm yesterday.
