TWO bombs ripped through an Islamic school in Pakistan yesterday, killing eight and injuring 42 in the latest outbreak of violence gripping the southern port city of Karachi.

PAKISTANI police said a leading Islamic militant suspected of involvement in the murder of US reporter Daniel Pearl may have blown himself up yesterday while making bombs in the southern port city of Karachi.

Pakistan is sending five envoys to the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia on a diplomatic offensive to relay Islamabad's position and policy on the crisis with India.
