A trial of two men accused of a double murder in Limerick has heard the victims “met death in a violent fashion.”

The Special Criminal Court has heard that a Limerick man feared his life would become “hell” if he made a statement to gardaí alleging a threat made against the life of his father and sister.

A 24-year old Limerick man, who associated with the notorious Dundon-McCarthy criminal gang in the city, has been jailed for life for the murder of businessman and father of two Roy Collins last year.
