The number of people developing heart failure in Ireland is on the rise.

Thousands are at risk of dying from heart failure because of a "staggering lack of awareness" of the symptoms involved.

A 26-year-old man, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old schoolgirl in south Co Donegal, has been given a three-year sentence.
