A PROBE has been launched into a “degrading” ordeal suffered by an Omagh bomb victim who was forced to strip to her underwear in front of six lawyers assessing her compensation claim.

Northern Ireland’s police chief Ronnie Flanagan today met relatives of the Omagh bomb victims to ‘‘correct distortions’’ about his handling of the investigation into the atrocity.

IRA chiefs are being urged to make a new effort to end the misery of the families of Northern Ireland’s ‘‘disappeared’’.
