A Bray man accused of fatally stabbing a man six years ago told gardaí he didn't "intend to stab" the deceased, saying "It was him or me", the Central Criminal Court has heard.

A Bray man who died in a fatal stabbing incident in a pub in the town six years ago was slagging the man accused of his murder about his Down’s Syndrome baby daughter on the night of the attack, a witness has claimed.

A mother who was celebrating the christening of her baby son in a Bray pub has claimed the accused used abusive language towards the deceased man, hours before he was fatally stabbed, the Central Criminal Court has heard.
