A prisoner serving a jail term for raping a young woman in a public park was today given a further four months’ imprisonment for attacking a prison officer.

A taxi driver was robbed of the purse around her neck after driving a man from Cork City to a dark laneway in Buttevant, North Cork.

A man robbed a taxi driver’s phone and tried to sell it to another taxi driver the next day — but, of all the drivers in Cork, he tried to sell it to the victim’s brother.
