Seven men have been arrested in connection with the deaths of a mother and her three children who were killed in a house fire.

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court today charged with murdering the family of a Dublin-based doctor, after they died in a house fire.

There was the rare sound of applause in court — coming from Mick Philpotts’s own family members — as the judge finished sentencing.
