A woman has been sentenced to three months imprisonment by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for the false imprisonment of a babysitter she had accused of stealing £1200.

One of the women charged with falsely imprisoning a baby-sitter for three days after they accused her of stealing £1,200 cash told gardai the alleged victim had admitted taking money previously.

Two woman have denied that they falsely imprisoned and assaulted a baby sitter whom they accused of stealing £1,200 cash which had gone missing.

Two women who admitted running a brothel in Dublin have been given 18 month suspended sentences at the Dublin Criminal Court.
