A taximan has been fined €2000 and disqualified from driving for two years for his attack on a young man who spat at his car and which left the victim in need of a life support machine for six weeks.

A 'hardened career criminal' has been jailed for four years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for his role in robbing €60,000 from the TSB with inside help from a cashier.
