Forensics experts in Thailand struggled to identify charred corpses while 26 victims were still receiving emergency medical care today following a New Year’s Eve fire in a packed Bangkok nightclub.

Grieving families prayed for the spirits of their loved ones today while police probed for the cause of a fire that ravaged a Bangkok nightclub, killing about 60 New Year’s Eve partygoers.

A fire swept through a high-class Bangkok nightclub jammed with several hundred New Year’s revellers, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 200, officials said.
