Sales at Mothercare Ireland in the first quarter of this year “have shown the first consistent positive trend for a number of years”.

The 350 jobs in Mothercare Ireland will not be impacted in anyway by Mothercare UK’s decision to close 111 branches in Britain.

MOTHERCARE (Ireland) saw pre-tax profits fall from €47,972 to €13,209 in the year to the end of March 2010.
