The family of kidnapped British hostage Tim Selby are celebrating after the engineer and his two Danish colleagues were freed by Bangladeshi rebels.

Hopes are high that Tim Selby, the British man taken hostage by Bangladeshi kidnappers 17 days ago, will be freed today.

British and Danish officials in Bangladesh have travelled to the area where a British civil engineer and two Danes were abducted in a bid to secure their release.
