FIANNA FÁIL yesterday moved to bring an end to a bitter row over selection policy in Galway West by announcing Councillor Michael Crowe would be the party’s third candidate in the general election next year.

THE Fianna Fáil organisation in Galway West met last night in an attempt to find a compromise in the rift that led to last week’s selection convention being abandoned.

CHRIS ANDREWS, the son of former MEP Niall Andrews, was last night selected as a Fianna Fáil Dáil candidate for the Dublin South East constituency.
