CHILDREN with hearing problems are having to wait five years to have a hearing aid fitted — almost 10 times longer than children in Britain, a report reveals.

THE first phase of a national newborn hearing screening programme will commence in Cork after Easter, with the full roll-out expected to be completed by the end of next year.
