The jobs minister has insisted the Government will deliver 14,000 new jobs in the midlands over the next five years.

The IDA has hardly been seen in Longford over the last five years. So the decision to appoint a regional manager to the Midlands as part of a Government jobs strategy for the area has to be a positive step, said Longford Chamber of Commerce.
