ONE of the more interesting news stories last week was that of Church of England vicar Joanna Jepson, who took the British police to court over their failure to investigate the abortion of a 24- week-old unborn child with a cleft palate.

A CHURCH curate has won permission to challenge the refusal of police to prosecute doctors who carried out a late abortion on a woman because she did not want a baby with a cleft lip and palate.
