MEXICO’S Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe in an upset victory that stunned a pageant world which had predicted the winner would come from Ireland’s Rozanna Purcell, Miss Venezuela or Miss United States.

LOOKING more Zena than Granuaile and with enough cloth to clothe a small village, Rozanna Purcell unveiled a new take on the Irish national costume in the latest round of Miss Universe.
