A Canadian man who groomed an Irish teenager before coming here to have sex with her has been jailed for four and a half years.

ANY parent who still basks under the illusion that the internet is nothing more than a fun place for younger teenagers to enjoy should take account of the words of the father of a young Irish girl who was contacted online by a cunning Canadian paedophile and seduced into having sex with him.

A father is due to be sentenced in Canada today for grooming and having sex with an underage Irish girl during two trips here in 2013.
