A 100-vehicle pile-up on a bridge in heavy fog has left at least six people seriously injured and 200 suffering minor wounds in what witnesses described as “carnage”.

More than 100 vehicles have been involved in an accident in misty conditions on a bridge in the UK and it is reported that there are no deaths, but that there are serious injuries.
