Alan Hutch, a son of gangland feud murder victim Eddie Hutch Sr, is among up to 20 prisoners seeking to benefit from the striking down of the laws governing the courts’ powers to activate suspended sentences.

The High Court has ordered the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission to disclose documents relating to complaints by Ian Bailey over the garda investigation into the 1996 murder of French film maker Sophie Toscan du Plantier in West Cork.
