For only the fourth time in the history of the competition, the Dr Harty Cup resides in Waterford after Dungarvan combination Coláiste na nDéise swept to glory in sparkling fashion at Cashel.

THE sparkling skills of Jason Forde inspired a dramatic victory for Nenagh CBS in yesterday’s Dr Harty Cup semi-final replay in Tipperary Town as the Silvermines youngster propelled his school into their first decider since 1997 with a late scoring salvo.

NENAGH CBS will bid to bridge a 15-year gap since their last appearance in the final of the Dr Harty Cup and thwart the ambitions of Ardscoil Rís when the teams renew acquaintances in today’s semi-final replay clash in Sean Treacy Park in Tipperary Town (2.30pm).

Ardscoil Rís ambitions of claiming a three Harty Cups in-a-row are still intact but those hopes came desperately close to being extinguished in a dramatic semi-final clash in Tipperary Town yesterday afternoon.
