Cork county councillors will send a blunt “hands off” message to a minister that they won’t tolerate him interfering in their decision to ban industrial incinerators in certain areas.

A junior minister has told Cork County Council it must drop a ban on building industrial-scale incinerators which the local authority has included in a blueprint for future development.
