A teenage boy who raped and sexually abused his eight-year-old half-sister has been ordered to reside away from his parents as part of a suspended sentence.

The court heard the boy told gardaí he had been copying what he saw on a pornographic website, PornHub. The boy was 14 at the time and his half-sister was eight.

A Cork man who persistently raped his step-daughter from the age of 11 to 16, impregnating her twice in the 1970s, has lost an appeal against the severity of his 12-year jail term.
