Controversial social networking website ask.fm has forwarded information to gardaí investigating the death of Erin Gallagher, the young girl who took her own life after being bullied on the site.

The website linked to the suicides of two Irish schoolgirls last year and a 14-year-old girl in Britain earlier this month has finally introduced new safety measures in a bid to tackle cyberbullying.

Controversial question-and-answer website Ask.fm has announced it will be implementing a number of changes to improve safety.
