Moors Murderer Ian Brady's body must be disposed of with "no music and no ceremony", a judge at the British High Court has ruled.

Ian Brady's body will not be released until assurances have been given that his ashes will not be scattered on Saddleworth Moor, a coroner has said.

Robin Makin said he was with Ian Brady less than two hours before his death and described it as "quite a moving sort of situation".

"He's taken it to the grave. There's still one poor kiddie up there on the Moors. My heart goes out to Alan - at least I've got somewhere that I can visit our Les, he hasn't even got that."
