AN article entitled 'We've got to train more orthodontists' (Examiner, March 20) indicated that Professor Brendan Drumm of the Health Service Executive finds its unacceptable that people are waiting 12-18 months for specialist dental treatment.

IN A recent interview the Minister for Health and Children, Micheál Martin, indicated that elected public representatives would have an opportunity to give an input into the running of the public health services.

OVER the next seven weeks, almost 1,000 children will be assessed within the Southern Health Board Orthodontic Service to determine their eligibility for treatment.
